Professional Zebra Crossing Line Marking for Warehouses

Warehouse zebra crossings do more than mark a place to cross. They create designated pedestrian routes through busy industrial environments. This helps people move safely between work areas while reducing unnecessary interaction with forklifts, pallet trucks and other workplace vehicles.

At Line-Mark, we design our zebra crossing line marking for warehouses around the way your facility operates. Before installation, we assess pedestrian movement and operational activities to position crossings where they’re most effective. Whether you’re installing a new crossing between two locations or replacing worn markings, our warehouse zebra crossing line marking solutions are built for long-term performance using our exclusive ArmourLine® application system.

If you’re improving warehouse safety or reconfiguring your facility, we can support the project. Speak to our team at Line-Mark to learn more about our tailored solutions for warehouse zebra crossings and other line marking requirements.

Each of the Zebra crossing pads measures 1.5m x 0.5m and installed in white. For high contrast in busy environments, we recommend installing black zebra crossing pads also.

Zebra crossings can be installed as a new crossing, between two points or over the top of an existing zebra crossing. The sole purpose is to afford safe travel between two or more places by providing clear indication.

Warehouse Zebra Crossing Line Markings Planned Around Workplace Risks

Warehouse zebra crossing line marking isn’t as simple as connecting two locations with painted markings. The effectiveness of a crossing depends on where people naturally choose to walk, how vehicles move through the warehouse and whether drivers have sufficient visibility to react safely.

At Line-Mark, we assess areas where pedestrian and vehicle routes intersect before recommending a crossing location. We give special attention to loading bays, blind corners, warehouse exits, doorways, racking aisles and junctions where forklift traffic changes direction or visibility becomes restricted.

Our experts don’t simply place crossings at convenient locations. Instead, we accurately assess and position the markings to guide pedestrian movement without disrupting operational efficiency.

Wherever existing crossings no longer reflect your warehouse layout or traffic patterns, we can remove and replace them as part of a wider floor-marking upgrade. This allows pedestrian routes to evolve alongside warehouse operations, so your crossings continue to support the way the facility functions.

Where Warehouse Zebra Crossings Are Commonly Installed

Warehouse zebra crossing line marking can be installed wherever clearly defined pedestrian routes are needed. The location of each crossing is determined by how the warehouse operates, the movement of workplace vehicles and the frequency of pedestrian traffic.

Loading Bays and Dispatch Areas

Loading bays are the busiest areas within a warehouse, with continuous vehicle movements throughout the day. Zebra crossings in this location provide designated crossing points that help pedestrians move between operational areas without crossing vehicle routes at unsuitable locations. Our experts will help position zebra crossings away from reversing vehicles and active loading operations to help improve visibility for both pedestrians and drivers.

Production Areas and Warehouse Aisles

Employees often move between manufacturing units, storage locations, production lines and picking areas during daily operations. In these spaces, we design zebra crossings to create clearly identifiable crossing points. The aim is to keep pedestrian routes organised without interrupting warehouse workflows.

Warehouse Offices and Welfare Facilities

Pedestrian routes connecting warehouse floors with offices, meeting rooms, canteens and welfare facilities experience regular foot traffic throughout the working day. In these places, we offer clearly marked zebra crossings to help employees follow consistent routes between them and to support broader warehouse traffic management.

Between Buildings and External Routes

Many industrial sites require employees to move between adjoining warehouse buildings or across service yards. Our professional warehouse zebra crossing line marking services ensure that the pedestrian routes between these locations are highly visible, helping define crossing points where vehicles and pedestrians regularly share the same space.

Durable Warehouse Zebra Crossing Line Marking Services with ArmourLine®

Warehouse floor markings are exposed to heavy wheel loads and demanding working conditions, making surface preparation and material selection critical to long-term performance.

This is why we offer durable zebra crossing line markings for warehouses built with our exclusive ArmourLine® application systems. The process involves thorough removal of surface contamination and laitance while creating the correct surface profile for maximum adhesion. This type of preparation helps the finished markings achieve great durability and reduces the risk of premature wear.

ArmourLine® is manufactured using high-performance industrial-grade materials designed to resist abrasion, impact and heavy vehicle traffic. The durable finish helps maintain clear, visible pedestrian crossings for longer, reducing maintenance requirements and the need for frequent repainting.

Whether you need a new application or a replacement, installation with ArmourLine® delivers a professional finish. To find out more, watch how we prepare the surface and apply durable warehouse floor markings using the ArmourLine® system.

Warehouse Zebra Crossing Installation Process

Zebra crossing line marking for warehouses follows a structured installation process to achieve a consistent finish and minimise disruption on site.

Before installation begins, we’ll outline the agreed crossing layout and mechanically prepare the floor using shot blasting. Once the surface is ready, we apply markings using the ArmourLine® system with controlled spacing and specified equipment. The markings are applied by experienced professionals, creating clean edges for clear definition.

We install standard zebra crossing pads that measure 1.5 metres by 0.5 metres. But if you need a different size to suit your warehouse layout, we can install exactly what you need.

Installations are typically done with white pads for primary crossing markings. Black paint can be applied between the lines to create a strong contrast against a lighter concrete floor. We also install warehouse zebra crossings in a range of colours, including white, black, blue, green, yellow and red, so you can integrate crossings into wider warehouse safety zoning where required.

After installation, we’ll inspect the completed markings to ensure they meet the agreed layout and quality standards before the area is returned to service.

Warehouse Zebra Crossings Installed Around Your Operations

We know that many warehouse facilities can’t stop operating during floor-marking work. That’s why we plan our installations around your production schedule and shift patterns.

Fast Project Delivery

Where programme times are critical, we use installation methods that allow completed areas to be returned to service as quickly as possible, helping reduce operational downtime.

Phased Installation

For larger warehouses, we can complete installation in planned sections, allowing unaffected areas to remain operational while work progresses elsewhere.

Planned Site Access

Our team works with your site management to programme installation around deliveries, shift changes and busy operational periods, helping maintain normal warehouse activity throughout the project.

SuperLine® Maintenance Programme

SuperLine® is Line-Mark’s exclusive extended warranty and maintenance programme, designed to provide continued support after your warehouse zebra crossing has been installed.

As standard, SuperLine® includes cover for repairs and accidental damage, together with timely maintenance visits. Regular inspection helps us identify wear early, allowing any necessary repairs to be carried out before they affect the performance or appearance of your warehouse zebra crossing.

This combination of warranty protection and planned maintenance helps keep your floor markings performing as intended while reducing the need for unplanned remedial work.
